Air defense forces destroyed nine Ukrainian UAVs over Rostov region in less than an hour

Air defense forces have intercepted nine Ukrainian drones over the territory of Rostov Region in 45 minutes. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 21.

"From 21:30 to 22:15 Moscow time on duty air defense means destroyed nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of Rostov region," - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the department.

Earlier in the day, acting governor Yuri Slyusar said that in Rostov region air defense means eliminated three Ukrainian unmanned aer ial vehicles (UAVs). He emphasized that according to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Also on January 21, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a moving car with a drone in Belgorod Region, resulting in a man's injury.

In addition, on that day, a married couple was injured when a Ukrainian drone attacked a moving car in Belgorod Region.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
