Russian journalist Leonid Sviridov died at the 60th year of life
Russian journalist Leonid Sviridov, who carried out professional activities in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, has died. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency on January 21.
It is specified that Sviridov died at the 60th year of life. The cause of his death is established by doctors.
Sviridov since 2003 worked in Poland. In 2015, the Polish authorities canceled his long-term residence permit in the European Union (EU), it is noted that this happened because of Leonid's active journalistic activities.
Sviridov began his journalistic career in 1992 at VGTRK. He was an in-house correspondent in Belarus and head of the correspondent's office in Prague, and was also a freelance correspondent for the Rossiya Segodnya news agency.
