Analytics", doctor of medical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics of Sechenov University, pulmonologist Pavel Berezhansky on January 21.

"The health of children who are growing up now is the welfare of the state in the future. It is necessary to protect them from the influence of harmful substances. The hidden danger of vapes is that the children's body is still coping, but the consequences of smoking in a few years become such "vapers' diseases" as lung damage, pancreas damage, damage to the organs of the nervous system," he said.

According to the expert, doctors are visited by patients with the so-called EVALI-syndrome - a disease of users of electronic cigarettes and vapes, with the development of pre-sugar diabetes. As he explained, the constant intake of these sugars leads to the fact that they develop metabolic syndrome, the pancreas can not cope. There is also a psychological, psychosocial addiction to vapes and to e-cigarettes.
