Russians have become more likely to travel with children
Russians have become more likely to travel with children. The travel planning service OneTwoTrip analyzed hotel bookings and found out that compared to 2024, the number of family trips planned for spring has tripled. The share of Russia has increased by a third and amounts to 58%, follows from the data of experts, which were reviewed by "Izvestia" on January 22.
At the same time in Russia the most popular city for traveling with children was St. Petersburg: this city accounts for 14.6% of hotel bookings. Next come Sochi, where 12.8% of families will go in spring, and the village near the ski resorts Esto-Sadok (the share of bookings - 12.4%). In addition, Moscow (9.9%), Kazan (5.8%), Kaliningrad (4.4%), Yekaterinburg (2.6%), Nizhny Novgorod (2.2%), Zelenogradsk (1.9%) and Irkutsk (1.8%) are also in the top ten.
Most often Russians with children choose apartments and guest houses: they account for 35.0% of bookings. Four-star hotels are also in demand (32%).
The service also learned that many families in the spring are planning to vacation in Phuket: the share of the Thai island is 6%. In second place is Dubai, where 5.6% of hotel bookings have already been made. And Seoul closes the top three, which accounts for 3.2% of bookings. In addition, Minsk (3.1%), Paris (3.0%), Pattaya (2.8%), Ho Chi Minh City (2.7%), Bangkok (2.6%), Abu Dhabi (2.5%) and Istanbul (2.0%) are in demand among tourists with children.
Abroad, travelers prefer four-star hotels (33%).
Earlier, on January 14, it was reported that in February more tourists will go on trips around the country. This follows from the data of the service for travel planning OneTwoTrip. Thus, the share of hotel bookings in Russia for the year increased by 8% and is 43%. Moscow, Esto-Sadok, St. Petersburg became the most popular cities for tourists.
