"Since January 20, at his own request due to health condition, the post left the acting Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Sergei Starodubtsev," - said in a statement.

The relevant documents were signed by the governor's acting deputy Alexander Khinshtein, the regional government added.

Starodubtsev is 53 years old. An engineer-technologist by education, he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Light Industry. Since 2019, he has worked in the administration of the Kursk region.
