Open burning at an oil depot in Liskinsky district of Voronezh region has been liquidated. This was reported by the Governor of the region Alexander Gusev on January 21.

"By the evening of January 20, it remained to extinguish the fire at the only site. However, in the evening there was a second strike, which led to new hotbeds," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

According to Gusev, firefighters eliminated open burning in less than a day. He thanked the specialists for their work.

In addition, the governor specified that no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Fire as a result of the fall of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), intercepted and eliminated by means of air defense (Air Defense) and electronic warfare (REB) in the Voronezh region, occurred at an oil depot earlier on January 20. Gusev specified that there was no threat to the population.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
