Five towers were restored in the Pskov-Pechersk Monastery

The restoration of five towers of the Pskov-Pechersk Monastery was completed in Pskov. Specialists strengthened and restored architectural elements of the complex.
In the course of the restoration, the roofs of the towers were renewed, foundations were strengthened and wooden ceilings were replaced. In addition, new gates were installed and engineering communications were connected. This is reported by the Pskov newswire.
The Ostrozhnaya (Prison) Tower required the installation of window fills. This tower is part of the monastery fence, which was built in 1558-1566 and originally had six towers.
The length of the fortress walls is 810 meters. The fence of the monastery is an important element of the architectural ensemble and is under state protection.
