One person was killed and two injured in a road accident involving a truck in the Urals region

In the Ketovsky district of the Kurgan region as a result of a collision between a car and a truck killed a pensioner, two more people were injured. About it the regional State Traffic Police reports on its page in the social network "VKontakte".

The accident occurred in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 21, at the 33rd km of the highway Kurgan - Kurtamysh - Tselinnoye. It is preliminarily established that the 65-year-old driver of the passenger car Chery Tiggo chose "unsafe speed of movement", as a result of which the car skidded and threw on the oncoming road, where it crashed into a truck K-5000 under the control of a 30-year-old man.

One of the passengers in the passenger car, a 71-year-old man, died on the spot. The driver and the second passenger, a 69-year-old woman, received various injuries and were hospitalized. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

In the traffic police note that in the conditions of bad weather in the region increased cases of fatal accidents on country roads. Only for the last two days four people died on the roads, four more were injured.

According to Ura.ru news agency with reference to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, traffic on a number of highways in the Kurgan region is limited due to snowstorms and snowfall. The rescuers recommend motorists not to drive outside the settlements.
