A criminal case has been opened against militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the shelling of civilians in Korenevsky district in Kursk Region. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (IC RF) on January 21
"The Main Military Investigative Directorate of the IC of Russia opened a criminal case against the militants of the VFU, involved in a terrorist act against civilians in the Kursk region (pts. "a" and "v" part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," - stated in the Telegram-channel
According to the investigation, on January 20 of this year, Ukrainian militants with the use of multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "Vampire" shelled civilians, as well as houses in the village of Korenevo. As a result of the shelling, one person was wounded.
It is reported that in the course of the investigation will be brought to justice all participants of the WFU, guilty of the crime.
Prior to that, on January 19, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the fact of the murder of civilians in the Kursk village of Russkoe Porechnoye, Sujan district, by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It is indicated that Ukrainian militants committed the murder of at least seven civilians who were sheltering in the basement of a residential house.
The AFU attacked the positions of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
