The Tauride Theological Seminary is moving from Simferopol to Chersonesos. Classes of future clergymen will be held in the revived cloister of St. Vladimir's Chersonesos Monastery and in the premises of the museum and temple complex "New Chersonesos".

As writes IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the press service of the higher educational church institution of the Crimean Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church, the future location was not chosen by chance, it has a rich history. The move itself in the seminary is associated with the beginning of a new chapter in its history, the agency specifies.

In early December, it was reported that archaeologists excavating in Chersonese Tauric, on the territory of modern Sevastopol, found in the necropolis finds of the Roman period, thanks to which they were able to reveal new data on funeral rituals adopted 2 thousand years ago. Specialists for the first time were able to compare data on the place of cremation with the place of subsequent burial of ashes.
