According to the results of the first contest of the Presidential Grants Fund, 1,497 socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) will receive grants in 2025. This was announced on January 21 by First Deputy Head of the RF Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko.
The total amount of grants to be issued is more than 4.7 billion rubles. There were 10 thousand applications, he said.
According to him, 239 projects, thematically related to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, will receive a total grant of Br804 million. The initiatives will be aimed at helping the participants of special operations and their families, as well as at preserving the historical memory of veterans' exploits. This number also includes 97 projects dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, for which 298 million rubles have been allocated.
A total of 44 initiatives with support in the amount of 210 million rubles have been allocated in the contest, which provide for work in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), Lugansk People's Republic (LNR), as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. NCOs from these regions demonstrated 21 projects. The total amount of grants of 46 million rubles was submitted directly from them.
In addition, a decision was made to co-finance support for NCOs at the regional level. Thus, 84 constituent entities of Russia were allocated 2.2 billion rubles for their competitions. In 2025 for the first time new regions are participating in the co-financing mechanism, Kirienko noted.
He pointed out that in the LNR, taking into account the fund's resources, the amount of support for NGOs will amount to 20 million rubles, and in Zaporizhzhya region - 23 million rubles.
The second competition of the Presidential Grants Fund 2025 will start on February 3.
Earlier, on September 19, 2024, Kirienko said that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the allocation of 1 billion rubles from his reserve fund for the contest of the Russian society "Znanie" to provide support to parental committees of schools. It was noted that the funds are envisaged for the implementation of projects.
