Sales of used cars in Russia in 2024 became the highest in 10 years
At the end of 2024, sales of passenger cars with used cars in Russia were the highest for the last 10 years. This was reported by the analytical agency "Avtostat" on January 21.
Thus, back in 2014, the Russian secondary car market set a record (6.1 million units), after which it never reached the mark of 6 million units. In 2024, sales of used cars amounted to 6.04 million units. This is 6% more than in 2023.
The leader of the used car market last year was Lada, which accounted for almost 25% (1.5 million units). 2.5 times less used cars were bought Toyota (619.5 thousand units; share - 10.3%), the mark of 5% was also overcome by Kia (349.5 thousand units) and Hyundai (322.2 thousand units).
Earlier in the day it was reported that the 2024 Lada 2107 sedan became the best-selling used car on the Russian secondary market. A total of 139.1 thousand of such cars were sold for the year.
Also on this day, the analysts of "Auto.ru Business" told "Izvestia" that in December 2024, the announcement of the sale of a sedan 2019 Toyota Camry turned out to be the most popular in Russia. The mileage of this Camry was 142 thousand kilometers, the owner valued the car at 2.7 million rubles.
