The number of people sick with flu and acute respiratory viral infections doubled in Transbaikalia over the week

In Transbaikalia for the past week, from January 13 to 19, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza increased 2 times compared to the previous week. Now the morbidity rate is 31.6 per 10 thousand people. These are the data provided by the regional Rospotrebnadzor.

IA ChitaMedia, citing these data, specifies that at the end of the week registered 3106 cases of acute respiratory infections and influenza. The majority of cases (86%) are acute respiratory viral infections. Influenza was confirmed in 14% of patients.

With the incidence of coronavirus the situation is more favorable. During the week it was confirmed in 125 people. However, compared to the previous week, the morbidity has increased, the agency notes.

Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that over the past week in Russia as a whole, the number of those who fell ill with acute respiratory viral viral infection increased by 29.1% compared to the previous week. Exceeding the national average is observed in 49 regions of the country, Rospotrebnadzor said. At the same time, in 27 regions of the country the number of hospitalized with colds increased by 30% or more.
