A dead tiger was found near the village of Mineralnoye in Primorsky Krai

In the Yakovlevsky district of Primorsky Krai, the corpse of an Amur tiger was found in hunting grounds near the village of Mineralnoye. Specialists of the Amur Tiger Center established that the predator died a violent death.

In turn, PrimaMedia news agency, citing eyewitnesses, writes that the tiger was shot when it was moving towards the village of Chuguevka. According to the general director of the center Sergey Aramilev, the body of the predator was 5 km away from the village. Tigers live in this area. The police is conducting a check on the fact of what happened.

The Agency reminds that the conflict tiger, which mauled a man in Dalnerechensky district of the region, was shot by hunters. The tiger was shot in the Dalnerechensky municipal district because it posed a threat to the safety of local residents and participants of the operation to catch it. The tiger had frostbitten paws and a long-standing festering gunshot wound on its belly.
