Four people injured in gas explosion at Turkish hotel
Four people were injured in a domestic gas explosion at a hotel in the ski resort Yıldız Mountain in the Turkish city of Sivas. This was reported by local TV channel NTV on January 21.
"As a result of the explosion, which occurred in the area where athletes live at the ski resort in Sivas, four people were injured, one seriously [hurt]," the material said.
The incident occurred on the first floor of the Yıldızhan Hotel.
In a statement, Sivas Provincial Governor Yılmaz Şimşek specified that two skiers and one coach were lightly injured in the explosion, while another sports instructor suffered second-degree burns to his hand and face.
On the night of January 21, a large fire broke out in the hotel of the Kartalkaya ski resort in the Turkish province of Bolu. According to the latest data, 10 people died and 32 others were injured. In total, there were 237 guests in the hotel. The Russian Embassy told RIA Novosti that it had not received any information about Russians injured or killed in the fire.
