Premium softback Hongqi H6 announced for Russia
Hongqi H6 liftback has passed certification in Russia and received the Vehicle Type Approval (VTA), the start of sales of the model is scheduled for spring-summer 2025. Configurations and prices will be announced additionally, according to the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on January 21.
Hongqi H6 debuted in China in 2023. The car has a length of 4990 mm, wheelbase - 2920 mm, and curb weight - 1740 kg. In some versions, the car will be available with two-tone body paint.
Liftback is equipped with a two-liter turbo engine with an output of 245 hp (380 Nm) paired with a classic 8-speed automatic transmission with torque converter. The car accelerates to "one hundred" faster than in 7 seconds. The model is equipped with active suspension Continuous Damping Control (CDC), which analyzes data on the road surface and dynamics of the car, adapting settings every two milliseconds.
In the Russian market Hongqi H6 will occupy a niche between the business sedan H5 and executive model H9.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the new Sinotruk Bolden S7 pickup truck will enter the Russian market in the first half of 2025. The payload capacity of the model is 1,050 kg. The pickup has a frame body structure made of galvanized steel.
Also on Tuesday it became known that at the Kaliningrad plant "Avtotor" began production of the car BAIC BJ60. This is the sixth model of the brand and the second SUV of the brand on the assembly line of the enterprise.
