US President Donald Trump has suspended Washington's development aid to other countries for 90 days by executive order. The document was published on January 20 on the White House website.

"I hereby order <...> [to] impose a 90-day pause on U.S. foreign development assistance allocated to the United States to assess the effectiveness of the programs and compliance with U.S. foreign policy," the text reads.

The justification for the measure states that the United States' "foreign aid industry" is not in the interests of the state, in many cases contradicts American values, and serves to destabilize the world.

According to the decree, in the future, no foreign aid should be provided in a manner that is not fully consistent with the President's foreign policy.

During the period of review, the heads of the relevant U.S. ministries and agencies must suspend the relevant payments to foreign countries, non-governmental and international organizations and contractors.

About the Republican's readiness to ban aid to other states from Washington earlier in the day wrote the Daily Mail newspaper with reference to sources. It was noted that this would likely immediately halt the flow of new US funds to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

On January 20, Trump took the oath of office in the Capitol rotunda, becoming the 47th president of the United States. In his speech, he declared the beginning of "America's Golden Age." This is the second presidential term of Trump, who was the American leader from 2017-2021. Along with him, Vice President Jay Dee Vance was sworn in.

After the ceremony, Trump signed more than 200 decrees. In particular, they relate to the withdrawal of the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO).
