Protesters burned a doll of President Donald Trump in front of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico. This was reported by El Financiero on January 20.

In a symbolic act, the protesters beat and burned a piñata with a Trump figure. This gesture, according to them, represents a rejection of the "offensive and inhumane, anti-migration and protectionist" policies of the American leader.

At the same time, a parallel march was held through the main streets of Mexico City - thousands of people opposed to Trump's return to the presidency.

Protesters chanted slogans in defense of human rights and demanded an end to discriminatory policies, which, they claimed, affect both migrants and bilateral relations between Mexico and the United States.

Earlier in the day after his inauguration, US President Donald Trump signed more than 200 new executive orders. Among them, the introduction of a state of emergency on the border with Mexico and the inclusion of drug cartels in the list of terrorist organizations.

Earlier, on January 17, the publication Politico reported that the team of the US President intends to declare a state of emergency to combat illegal migration. It is noted that officials are also developing an executive order to abolish the right to American citizenship by birth. The Trump administration plans to launch raids against migrants the day after the inauguration, The Wall Street Journal added.
