US President Donald Trump has promised that American might will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to the world.
"Our might will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been evil, violent and completely unpredictable," he said after taking the oath of office in the Capitol rotunda, which was broadcast on CNN.
Moreover, he added that under his administration, the United States of America will not be intimidated, broken or fail. At the same time, he emphasized that from January 20, the United States will be a free, sovereign and independent nation.
Trump took the oath of office and became the 47th president of the United States on January 20. Along with him, Vice President J.D. Vance took the oath of office in the Capitol rotunda.
During his inauguration speech, Trump declared the beginning of "America's golden age". He added that he will put the United States first, noting that the nation will be bigger, stronger and far more exceptional than ever before. Trump also noted that he was "saved by God to make America great again" during the first assassination attempt.
The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the popular vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Speaking to supporters, the Republican said that his goal as head of state is to end military conflicts in the world.
