The festival "City of Light", held as part of the project "Winter in Moscow" has been extended until February 28. This was reported in the press service of the Mayor of Moscow on January 20.

"Citizens and tourists will be able to see fabulous light paintings on the facades and in the windows of the capital's buildings until February 28," - stated in the message.

As clarified by the Minister of the capital's government, head of the Department of Culture of Moscow Alexei Fursin, the decision was made after numerous requests from Muscovites.

Video installations were installed at 10 addresses, their total area is almost 5 thousand square meters. m. Every evening video projections of fairy tale characters and Soviet postcards are shown on the facades.

For example, on the building of the Novikovs' mansion on Bolshaya Polyanka Street every evening characters of the work "The Snow Queen" come to life.

Earlier, on January 17, the press service of the Mayor of Moscow reported that the annual holiday "Winter Day of Moscow Sports" will be held in "Luzhniki" on February 2. For guests and residents of the capital will prepare 12 different activities, including, for example, curling, hockey dribbling, snowshoe races, fun starts and others. Visitors can also expect prize drawings, entertainment programs, sports discos and Zumba classes. In addition, Russian artists will perform on stage. There will also be a special program for children.
