The number of people injured in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' (AFU) strike on Bekhter in Kherson Region has risen to 13. This was reported by the Governor of the region Volodymyr Saldo on January 20.

"As a result, 13 people were injured, among them two children in serious condition," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

He added that there are also dead, but did not specify their number. Saldo also noted that two landings occurred near the school.

The governor said that doctors are providing the victims with the necessary medical care. He also added that "those responsible for this tragedy will be held accountable."

The fact that the AFU attacked Bekhteri earlier in the day was reported by Igor Kastukevich, a senator from Kherson region. Then he specified only about six victims.

Earlier, on January 14, three civilians of Kherson region were injured in the shelling of the Ukrainian army. Governor of the region Volodymyr Saldo specified that the injured were hospitalized. He also noted that private houses were damaged as a result of the attacks.
