The investigation initiated a criminal case over the death of four people, including two children, in a fire in an apartment building in Yaroslavl. This was reported on January 19 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Yaroslavl region.

"To fully and comprehensively establish all the circumstances of the incident, the investigative bodies of the IC of the Russian Federation in the Yaroslavl region initiated a criminal case on the signs of a crime under Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence")", - stated in the message of the agency.

Also investigators appointed forensic examinations to establish all the circumstances of the incident. It is specified that the preliminary cause of the fire was careless handling of fire.

About the fire in an apartment building in Yaroslavl, which killed four people, two of them - children, became known earlier in the day. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported that 18 specialists and six units of equipment worked at the scene. A fire testing laboratory was also involved.
