Three people have died in Transnistria since the beginning of the year due to the energy crisis. This was reported in the press center of the Interior Ministry of the unrecognized republic on January 18.

Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean, in his turn, expressed dissatisfaction with such a decision of the Russian Federation. According to him, the resumption of gas supplies will contribute to building up Transnistria's alleged military potential, which "will be directed" against Ukraine and Romania.
