A girl injured when a car fell into the Obvodny Channel died in hospital
The girl, who was injured when a car fell into the Obvodny Channel in St. Petersburg, died in hospital. This was reported in the city police on January 18.
According to law enforcement agencies, at the time of the accident in the foreign car were two girls - 37 years old and, presumably, 25 years old.
"The older one managed to extract from the car, she was urgently sent to a medical facility, where she later died," - said in the message of the city police in Telegram.
The second girl without signs of life was extracted from the car, which managed to get out of the water.
Earlier in the day it was reported that in St. Petersburg a car with people collapsed into the Obvodny channel after the accident and drowned. According to preliminary data, another car crashed into the car at the intersection, after which the driver mixed up the pedals and pressed the gas, as a result of which the Mercedes knocked down the embankment fence grating and fell into the water.
