Poll shows Americans' negative attitude toward spending on aid to Ukraine and Israel
The majority of American residents think that the USA spends too much money on military aid to Ukraine and Israel. This follows from the data of a survey published on 18 January by the Ipsos research company.
The survey was conducted from January 2 to 10, and more than 2 thousand US residents took part in it.
According to the survey results, 53% of respondents believe that the U.S. spends too much money on aid to Israel, while 30% believe that they spend the right amount of money. 4% of respondents declined to answer the question.
It is also noted that 51% of Americans think the country is spending too much on Ukraine. 28% of residents at the same time said that the US spends the right amount of money.
Earlier, on January 8, it became known that the United States will allocate to Ukraine a new package of military aid to the amount of $ 500 million. It was specified that the administration of the American President Joe Biden is working on strengthening the negotiating position of Kiev before the entry into office as head of state of President-elect Donald Trump.
On December 26, 2024, Duma deputy Alexander Tolmachev, in a conversation with Izvestia, pointed out that US citizens are tired of financing the Kiev regime. At the same time, he did not rule out that with the departure of the country's current President Joe Biden, Washington's assistance to Kiev may end.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine against the background of Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
