Seven Russian tourists injured in an accident with a bus and a cement truck in Sri Lanka continue their treatment in hospital. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the Russian Embassy on January 18.

"The victims are receiving the necessary qualified medical care in full. At the moment, five out of 12 people have been discharged. The remaining seven continue treatment," the message said.

It is specified that the Russians in the hospital are natives of the Stavropol and Krasnodar regions.

The Russian embassy also pointed out its participation in the coordination of assistance to the victims together with the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the N.I. Pirogov NMHC of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

On the eve of the Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka reported that two Russians, injured in a road accident in Sri Lanka, are in serious condition.

The accident with a bus occurred on January 17. The bus at high speed crashed into the rear of a truck. At the time of the accident in public transportation were 30 people. The bus driver died, 19 people were also injured.
