In St. Petersburg, a passenger car broke through the embankment fence and fell into the Fontanka River. As a result, three people were hospitalized. This was reported by the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in St. Petersburg in Telegram-channel on January 18.

"This morning near the house 133 on the embankment of the Fontanka River, a passenger car, breaking through the embankment fence, fell into the water. Inside were two men and a woman", - stated in the message.

It is reported that, using a rescue rope, employees pulled the 22-year-old driver and two passengers on the shore. All three were sent to the hospital.

The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk in Telegram-channel reported that in respect of the driver drew up protocols on administrative offenses, including driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication.

Earlier, on January 17, several people, including two minors, were injured in a traffic accident in the south of Moscow. The incident occurred on Bakinskaya Street. According to preliminary data, the driver of a VAZ car drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Hyundai car.
