British politician urged London to mend relations with Moscow
The leader of the British Heritage Party David Curtin called on the authorities to normalize relations with Russia. He made the corresponding statement on January 18.
"The UK should strive to restore good relations with Russia," he wrote in the social network X (former Twitter).
He noted that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is focused on the interests of globalists to the detriment of the interests of the British people.
On Thursday, January 16, the British prime minister arrived in Kiev. During the visit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term of office expired on May 20, 2024) and Starmer signed an agreement on strategic partnership between the countries.
Before that, on January 14, it became known that, according to research YouGov, 64% of Britons believe that Starmer poorly copes with his official duties. Another 12% of respondents could not assess the work of the Prime Minister, and only 24% of participants supported him.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
