Russian military grouping North has destroyed an assault group of Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militants on the outskirts of the settlement of Glubokoye in Kharkiv Region. Images of the combat operation were shown by the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday, January 18.

The ministry said that a unit of the Russian Armed Forces detected an enemy group with the help of aerial reconnaissance means. It is noted that the Ukrainian military took cover in the cellar of one of the houses, trying to protect themselves from drones.

The footage shows how one of the Russian military of the 11th Army Corps of the group of troops "North", under cover approached the cellar of the house and threw there a backpack with anti-tank mines, destroying the AFU fighters.

On the eve of the Russian Defense Ministry published a record of objective control of the destruction of a camouflaged self-propelled artillery installation (SAU) "Gvozdika" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv region. The object was detected on the outskirts of one of the settlements in the region.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
