Dnipro troop grouping eliminated up to 110 militants and an AFU warehouse over the day
Servicemen of the Dnipro group of Russian troops have eliminated up to 110 militants and an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past 24 hours. This was reported on January 18 by the senior officer of the press center of the grouping Andriy Kurdyuk.
"During the day, the enemy losses amounted to up to 110 servicemen, seven vehicles, two field artillery guns. An ammunition depot was also destroyed," he told TASS.
He specified that Russian servicemen inflicted fire damage on the enemy's manpower and equipment of mechanized and infantry brigades, as well as marine and territorial defense brigades. According to him, the grouping of troops "Dnipro" worked in the areas of Kazatskoye, Novodanilovka, Lobkovoye, Antonovka, Kamenskoye and Dariyevka.
Earlier, on January 17, it was reported that sniper pairs of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Troops' Ivanovo Guards unit destroyed three "Baba Yaga" type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the AFU overnight and disrupted the enemy's rotation in the area of a refractory plant in the locality of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
