Russian air defense forces have destroyed seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the skies over the Bryansk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 17.

"On-duty air defense means destroyed seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Bryansk region," - stated in the message of the press service in the Telegram-channel.

At the same time, the governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz reported that there were no casualties and damage as a result of the UAV attack. Specialists are working at the site.

"There are no casualties and destruction. Operational and emergency services are working on the spot," the governor wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, on January 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense means shot down 95 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the day. In addition, with the help of operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops and artillery, the Russian army has hit the infrastructure of military airfields, production workshops, assembly and storage sites of UAVs

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
