Putin congratulates soldiers of three regiments of the Russian Armed Forces on receiving the title "Guards"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated servicemen of the 39th engineer-sapper, 433rd motorized rifle and 10th tank regiments on the awarding of the honorary title "Guards". Telegrams from the head of state were published on the Kremlin website.

"This is a high honor and recognition of your special merits, massive heroism and bravery, steadfastness and courage shown in the defense of the Fatherland and the state interests of Russia. Skillful and decisive actions of the regiment's personnel during the special military operation are a model of fulfillment of military duty, bravery, selflessness and high professionalism," the text of congratulations reads.

Putin expressed confidence that the Guard soldiers will continue to serve the Motherland with honor, keeping loyalty to the oath, and reliably ensure peaceful life and security of Russian citizens. The President also wished the commanders and personnel of the regiments good health and success.

Decrees on awarding the 39th, 433rd and 10th regiments with the Guard rank the President signed the day before, January 16.

Earlier, on December 13, 2024, Putin awarded the title "Guards" to the 205th Independent Motorized Rifle Cossack Brigade for mass heroism and bravery of the servicemen. At the end of October last year, this title was also awarded to the 77th anti-aircraft missile regiment.
