In Krasnodar region, a man attacked police officers with a truncheon and a canister

A resident of Krasnodar Krai attacked police officers with a knife, truncheon and pepper spray, a criminal case has been opened. This was reported on January 17 in the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The incident occurred after the traffic police stopped the man on January 15 in Otradnaya village and asked to show documents. After that, he drove away, catching one of the inspectors with his mirror and colliding with a service car.

"The car of the figure was found near his home by police officers, who demanded that he get out of the vehicle. In response to the law enforcers' demands, the suspect sprayed the contents of a gas canister he had with him in the face of [one of] the police officers, as well as wounded him in the arm with a stabbing object and struck another with a wooden club in the head area," the agency's website said.

As the Kuban Prosecutor's Office specified in its Telegram channel, three police officers were injured during the arrest of the offender. One of them was hospitalized, two officers were treated on the spot.

The man was detained, a criminal case on violence against representatives of the authorities (Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated against him.

Earlier, on January 13, in Magadan region, three drunken men attacked police officers, who heard shooting from a car at night and tried to stop illegal actions. The attackers tried to escape in the entranceway, where the attack took place. According to the IC, the suspects are in hospital.
