In St. Petersburg 755 people were evacuated after reports from the U.S. about mined buildings. This was reported by TV channel "78" on January 17 .

"The e-mail and phone numbers of various institutions of the city received messages from the United States about booby-trapping of 21 objects," - noted in the edition.

It is specified that the messages referred to the mining of 16 educational institutions and one retail outlet.

In connection with the information received it was decided to immediately evacuate people from two buildings. After a thorough inspection, the police reported that no explosive devices were found.

Earlier, on January 15, it was reported that a Boeing-737 airliner heading from Moscow to Novosibirsk returned to Sheremetyevo airport because of a passenger's report of a bomb planted on the plane.
