What to watch out for as an investor this week
Few significant corporate events are scheduled for this week - companies will almost not pay dividends or publish reports, reported in "BKS World of Investments". In the coming days, the market may react vividly to the inauguration of the new US President - it is not excluded that the shares of exporters and other major market players will go up.
The inauguration of Donald Trump will be held on Monday, January 20, Finam recalled. His accession to office may give a positive signal to the market, as investors clearly hope for a speedy agreement between Moscow and Washington on the Ukrainian conflict, specified in the service "Gazprombank Investments".
The only significant event is expected only on Tuesday, January 21. This is the last day to buy Diasoft shares before the closing of the register of shareholders with the right to dividends for the first nine months of 2024, said in "Tsifra Broker".
The RGBI government bond index stabilized near 104-105 points after the optimism of the New Year holidays, which persisted after the Central Bank's neutral decision on the key rate at the end of 2024, Gazprombank Investments service reminded. The indicator will move without sharp jumps - they are possible only in case of deterioration of future data on weekly inflation and the February decision of the regulator on monetary policy.
The ruble will trade at 100-103.5 per dollar, 104.5-107 per euro and 13.5-14.2 per yuan this week, Finam believes. The Moscow Exchange Index may reach the 3000-point level this week, concluded the Gazprombank Investments service.
