Experts of the service "Tutu" polled travelers and found out where in Russia you should admire sunrises and sunsets. More than a thousand people took part in the survey. Someone prefers well-known tourist destinations, such as St. Petersburg, others - hard-to-reach locations in nature. "Izvestia" got acquainted with the results of the survey and information about popular destinations on January 18.

Neva embankment and the Palace Bridge in St. Petersburg

Neither snow, nor rain, nor wind are not afraid of travelers who are ready to go to St. Petersburg in winter. After all, in case a tourist gets cold, he can wander around the museums and sit in one of the restaurants. Russians prefer to meet sunrises and sunsets on the Neva embankment and on the Palace Bridge - more than 19% of respondents voted for this option.

Elbrus

To meet the dawn on Mount Elbrus, one must first conquer it. This option was chosen by 18% of survey participants. At the same time, experts advised to thoroughly prepare for a mountain hike, carefully choose guides and assess physical strength.

Cape Fiolent in Crimea

On the territory of Cape Fiolent there is a sanctuary of the same name, and it is one of the most picturesque and popular with travelers places in the Crimea. Fiolent is located not far from Sevastopol. Almost 18% of surveyed travelers dream to meet sunrise or sunset there.

Cape Khoboy on Baikal

Among tourists, 16.9% prefer Cape Khoboy, a sacred place of Olkhon Island on Lake Baikal. The local rocks resemble fangs for a reason: "Khoboi" means "fang" in Buryat language. Winter on Baikal is one of the most amazing seasons: the lake is covered with transparent ice. It should become solid already in January.

Mount Belukha in Altai

Altai was chosen by 15.6% of respondents who dream of meeting dawn or dusk on the slopes of Mount Belukha, the highest point of Siberia and the Altai Mountains. Many people consider climbing it even more dangerous than conquering Mount Elbrus. For those who prefer not so extreme entertainment, experts advised to go on a road-trip along the Chuisky highway.

Valley of Geysers in Kamchatka

More than 15% of travelers dream to see the famous Valley of Geysers in the early morning or at sunset. However, it is impossible to get to the valley by car or on foot: there are neither pedestrian nor automobile roads, and the only way to see one of the most unusual places in Russia is a helicopter tour.

Ladoga Skerries in Karelia

Skerries - small rocky islands on Lake Ladoga - belong to the territory of the national park of the same name. Tourists can come with tents or go on a short excursion - and they are also accessible in winter. In the evening it will be possible to cook soup on the fire and warm up with berry tea. According to the service, about 13% of respondents want to go to Karelia.

Kurshskaya Spit in the Kaliningrad Region

12% of travelers dream of meeting sunrises and sunsets on the Baltic Sea. Contrary to stereotypes, winter is an excellent time to travel to the Kaliningrad region, experts believe. They believe that tourists during the trip can attend an organ concert in Kaliningrad, a spa overlooking the Baltic Sea and see the sunset on the Curonian Spit.

Cape Tobizina in Primorsky Krai
