On January 17, Roskomnadzor (RKN) recorded a worldwide failure in the work of the online store of computer games Steam.

According to the downdetector.ru service, within an hour the platform received almost 4 thousand complaints. The largest number of complaints were recorded from Sakhalin, as well as from the Magadan, Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions.

In addition, as Roskomnadzor told RIA Novosti, users from Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom also noted problems with the work of the online store. According to preliminary data, the failure was caused by problems in the infrastructure of the service.

Earlier, on January 14, there were failures in the work of Runet. Users complained about problems loading the sites of Google, Liveinternet, "Wikipedia", Russian Railways and others. Rostelecom said that the access problems were not related to the company's network. Soon Roskomnadzor reported about the prompt restoration of Runet's work.
