Sobyanin told about modernization of electric substations in Moscow
Last year, Moscow carried out modernization works at 21 power substations. The largest of them is the Syrovo power center, which provides electricity to Shcherbinka and several settlements in the Moscow region, said in his official Telegram channel the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin.
In addition, in 2024, turbine unit No. 4 of CHPP-23 was renewed: the turbine, generator, transformer and other equipment were replaced. Also in the city more than 2.3 thousand transformer substations and distribution points were repaired and network infrastructure was built to provide capacity for 33 charging stations for electric buses.
In addition, Moscow completed a large-scale project to improve the reliability of power supply to the main building of Lomonosov Moscow State University - eight transformer substations and two distribution substations were built, and several cable lines were laid.
Last year we commissioned a modern gas boiler house for the Olympiysky multifunctional complex.
Among the tasks for this year are the introduction of smart electronics at boiler No. 1 of CHPP-21 and the continuation of work to modernize the oldest power plant in Russia, P.G. Smidovich HPP-1.
