Moscow will conclude an offset contract for the supply of road signs

In Moscow it was decided to hold an electronic competition for the conclusion of an offset contract for the supply of road signs to ensure traffic safety. The corresponding order was signed by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin, reported in the material on the portal mos.ru.
Under the terms of the contract, the winner of the tender will be obliged to create a new or modernize the existing production of road signs on the territory of Moscow within two years. Investments in the project will amount to more than a billion rubles.
In turn, the government of the capital will ensure the purchase of about 1.5 million road signs and their components within 10 years. "Localization of production guarantees high quality and durability of road signs and thus will contribute to improving road safety," the report points out.
In the period from 2017 to 2024, Moscow signed 28 offset contracts for the supply of medicines, medical products, food for dairy kitchens, elements of landscaping, traction batteries for electric vehicles, municipal equipment, elevator equipment and other important products for the city. The total volume of purchases under these contracts will amount to more than 621 billion rubles, and in the course of their realization more than eight thousand jobs will be created.
As Sergey Sobyanin pointed out in July last year, Moscow was the first in the country to apply the mechanism of offset contract. This allows the capital city to receive guaranteed domestic products, and investors - to build or modernize their enterprises, the mayor noted.
