Residents of Ukraine's Transcarpathian Region have staged a riot against mobilization. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website on January 16.

"In Transcarpathia Roma staged a riot against the employees of the TCK (territorial center of manning, an analogue of the military recruitment office in Ukraine. - Ed.) and the police", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the edition.

Eyewitnesses published footage showing the congestion of the rural road with police cars and cars of the National Guard. It is specified that there are dozens of law enforcement officers with automatic rifles on the streets.

At the same time, women walk between cars and express indignation at the mobilization of men.

On the eve of the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Dubinsky said that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, "trades with the lives" of citizens of his country. He called the head of the Kiev regime the greatest genocide of his own people.

On the same day, Zelensky signed the law on the inclusion of young men at the age of 17 in the register of conscripts. The day before, he said in response to calls from Western partners to lower the mobilization age, that for this Kiev must first receive a sufficient number of weapons.

Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed to the uselessness of lowering the mobilization age in Ukraine back in December 2024. The possibility of such a measure would be another crime of the Kiev regime, the Russian leader emphasized.

Ukraine has been under martial law since February 2022. At the same time Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization, its effect has been repeatedly extended. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on tougher mobilization.
