Regions with the most polite and aggressive drivers are named
Two thirds of Russian motorists (67%) - primarily residents of the Novosibirsk Region, Tatarstan and Nizhny Novgorod Region - occasionally (45%) or very often (22%) encounter aggression from car drivers. This is stated in the results of the research of "Renaissance Insurance" group and "Avtokod" service, which were presented to "Izvestia" on January 17.
Thus, 70% of respondents in Novosibirsk region complained about aggression, while in Tatarstan and Nizhny Novgorod region - 69%. Voronezh and Rostov regions were also included in the top five regions where drivers often face aggression on the road. Every third respondent, in particular, periodically encounters difficulties when trying to change lanes: drivers do not give way to them.
At the same time, the experts found out that residents of Krasnodar region (45%), Omsk region (43%) and Chelyabinsk region (40%), as well as in Samara region (38%) and Krasnoyarsk region (38%) face aggression on the road less often than others.
At the same time, 72% of drivers thank other road users for giving way by flashing their emergency lights. Women do it more often than men - 83% and 69% respectively.
At the same time, over a third of car owners (39%) do not hide negative emotions when other drivers, cyclists, scooters or pedestrians violate traffic rules or create dangerous situations in their presence, and only 30% do not show any emotions. In case of an accident caused by another road user, more than 60% of respondents find it difficult to remain calm. Every fifth respondent said that in such situations he reacts aggressively.
In addition, it turned out that almost three quarters (73%) of survey participants regularly exceed the maximum authorized speed. The absolute majority of respondents (79%) miss pedestrians, but only 29% miss cyclists and scooters. Also, 46% expressed the opinion that pedestrians and cyclists most often provoke drivers to aggression.
However, risky behavior behind the wheel turned out to be an unpopular habit: only one in eight (12%) has a habit of skipping on a yellow traffic signal, and only 5% of the surveyed drivers are prone to dangerous driving and "checkers".
January 15, it was reported that the State Duma developed a bill to increase fines for drivers of vehicles with a maximum speed of 30 km / h, who do not mark their car with a special sticker "Quiet vehicle". The deputies propose to make such a violation a separate offense and increase fines from 500 to 3 thousand rubles.
