The AFU launched strikes on four settlements in Belgorod region
Four border settlements of Belgorod Region were again attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). As regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on January 16, the villages of Grafovka, Repyakhovka, Novaya Tavolzhanka and Rzhevka were hit.
In Grafovka, after the arrival of two drones, a power line was damaged, the streets temporarily lost lighting.
In Novaya Tavolzhanka, Shebekinsky District, outbuildings and fences in four private houses were damaged after the arrival of a shell. A window was also damaged in one of the houses. In Rzhevka, windows were blown out and roofs were punctured in five houses after shelling. Two buildings in the yards and two passenger cars were damaged.
"In Krasnoyaruzha district, the village of Repyakhovka was attacked by an FPV drone - a communications infrastructure facility was damaged," Gladkov noted in his Telegram channel.
Earlier on January 16, Gladkov reported that in the village of Belovskoye a driver ran over an explosive object. The victim with multiple shrapnel wounds in serious condition was taken to the hospital. He also added that the car caught fire, the fire has already been eliminated.
On the same day, a resident of Belgorod region suffered as a result of a strike by the AFU. According to preliminary data, in the village of Belovskoye windows were broken and facades in two private houses were slashed, a garage was damaged on the territory of one household. Shrapnel also damaged five cars.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
