Current U.S. President Joe Biden, whose term of office is coming to an end, will leave the White House with truckloads of documents. The Associated Press (AP) reported on January 14.

"Moving trucks are back at the White House and Biden's staff is loading documents and storage items as he prepares to leave next week. The administration has promised a new, more secure protocol for vetting and separating classified information," the story said.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that Biden's team will do everything possible to follow the rules and traditions of transferring papers in such cases.

It is noted that at the moment the working group on the protection of classified data during the change of administration, which was established in early 2024, has not released any recommendations.

The inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump will take place on January 20.

In February 2024 in the United States, the investigation against Biden for improper handling of classified documents was completed. Their discovery in the house and office of the politician became known in January 2023. As a result, the American president was not charged.

Special Prosecutor Robert Hoehr, who was investigating, said that Biden kept secret papers because of memory problems. In turn, the US President sharply criticized this conclusion.
