Russian army liberates Ukrainka village in the DNR

The Russian Armed Forces have liberated the village of Ukrainka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 15.

"As a result of successful offensive actions, units of the Center group of troops liberated the settlement of Ukrainka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

In addition, the Russian military hit the living forces and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the settlements of Dvurechnaya, Zvanovka, Petrovka in the DNR, as well as formations of the enemy's motorized infantry brigade in the Kharkiv region.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of AFU vehicle equipment by the calculation of FPV-drone center "Rubicon". It is noted that the reconnaissance units found a car on which the personnel of the Ukrainian troops were transported. The data was transmitted to the strike means, after which the target was hit.

On the eve of the RF Armed Forces liberated the villages of Neskuchnoye and Terny in the DNR. In Neskuchne the servicemen of the unit of the group of troops "Vostok", who took part in the liberation of the settlement, hoisted the flag.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
