Russian ambassador summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry


The Armenian Foreign Ministry summoned Russian Ambassador to the country Sergey Kopyrkin in connection with his statements on the air of the Russian state TV channel. This was reported in the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on January 15.
"In connection with the January 12, 2025 program <...> on January 15, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia S.P. Kopyrkin was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry," the report published on the website of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
It was specified that he was handed a note of protest.
Earlier, on June 14 last year, the Armenian Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest to Minsk after the statements of the official representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz, who said a day earlier that the republic does not intend to worsen relations with Yerevan, "no matter how much the Armenian leadership is pushed to do so by external players".
