FPV drone units of the "North" group of forces destroyed AFU armored vehicles


The FPV drone units of the Army Corps of the Army Group "North" have destroyed armored vehicles, a machine gun nest and concentrations of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on January 15.
The RF Armed Forces fighters continue to carry out complex work, drone sorties and reconnaissance, as well as adjusting artillery fire. One of the drone crews made a combat sortie of an FPV drone with a fragmentation-fragmentation warhead. The target was successfully hit, the agency said.
The drone is prepared for the flight in a few minutes. Different ammunition can be attached to the warhead, and sorties are also carried out from different positions.
"My task is to set up the 'bird', prepare it, prepare the antennas so that everything works. The order is given - I take off, practice. On the equipment we have a shaped charge, on the infantry - shrapnel. Here we blew up a foreign-made Stalker armored vehicle on the move", - shared a senior operator-sapper of the reconnaissance strike platoon with the call sign Krylatiy.
He also noted that by disrupting the rotation of the AFU fighters, his unit provided the Russian Armed Forces units with an offensive. In the collection of trophies of the calculation also mortars of different caliber, many infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) and armored personnel carriers (APC) of the enemy, tanks and barrel artillery.
Earlier, on January 14, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces military destroyed a dugout with AFU manpower in Kharkiv region. The Russian Armed Forces soldiers made the decision to fire after analyzing the received intelligence. The operator of a combat UAV destroyed a dugout with Ukrainian military personnel with a direct hit.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
