Bakhrushinsky Theater Museum offers to uncover the mystery of the creation of one of the best productions of choreographer Yuri Grigorovich in collaboration with artist Simon Virsaladze in the Bolshoi Theater "The Nutcracker" (1966). The exhibition presents wonderful puppets from this ballet. The exposition will be complemented by a Christmas tree decorated with toys with sketches of scenery and photos of scenes from the performances. Visitors will also see items from the ballet story "The Firebird". The embodiment of ballet master Mikhail Fokin's dream was the performer of the main role, People's Artist of the USSR Maya Plisetskaya. The exhibition presents more than 30 French mantel clocks of the late 18th - early 19th century. The objects demonstrate not only the achievements of clock mechanics of that time, they are unsurpassed works of decorative and applied art, showing the skill of French designers and bronze makers. The compositions adorning the mantel clocks refer to ancient mythology, historical events and the plots of chivalric novels. French masters even reflected in their works the events of Russian history. The exhibition presents clocks "Minin and Pozharsky", "Peter the Great on Lake Ladoga". They were especially popular among aristocrats - participants of the War of 1812. The watches were the epitome of Russian patriotism.

The exhibition is dedicated to Russian and Georgian righteous people of the world. This is the name given to people of non-Jewish origin, who during the Holocaust, risking their lives, saved Jews - hiding them, providing them with food, things and documents necessary to hide from the Nazis.
The centerpieces of the exhibit are two large-scale installations. The first is a round cella covered with armor made of plates with the names of Russian righteous people. Inside it there are interviews and testimonies of Jews saved by them, and outside, in niches - four video interviews with the righteous. The second installation by Ivan Shchukin is called "Exodus". It is a series of objects made of specially processed matzah, telling about Georgian righteous people. The impression of the exhibition is enhanced by a musical composition by Ilya Rubinstein, created for the project.
The exhibition, created by MMOMA and the Russian Jewish Congress, opens the Moscow program of Holocaust Remembrance Week.
