The territories with Russian population formerly belonging to Ukraine will be part of the Russian Federation, Andrei Danko, deputy speaker of the Slovak parliament, said in an interview with Izvestia.

"I think that peace is coming, and where Russian people live, there will be the Russian Federation. There is no problem with this position, but a dialog between [ US President-elect Donald] Trump and [Russian leader Vladimir] Putinis needed", he said.

Earlier, a parliamentary delegation from Slovakia arrived in Moscow on a visit that will last until January 15. The deputies of the Slovak National Council intend to discuss the issue of gas supplies from Russia and the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
