A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump could take place in the Slovak capital, Andrei Danko, deputy speaker of the republic's parliament, told Izvestia.

"I think it is possible. I would like to have this meeting in Bratislava, but we will see how it will be," he said.

According to him, a dialog between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is needed.

"Then will come the dialog with Ukraine. We see that the American president is talking about the Panama Canal. That means he can talk about everything. What happened in Ukraine did not happen in one day. It is history," he noted.

On January 12, the Slovak parliamentary delegation arrived in Moscow on a working visit. The deputies of the Slovak National Council intend to discuss the issue of gas supplies from Russia and the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
