HC CSKA defeated Spartak 4:2
CSKA Hockey Club (HC) defeated Spartak at home in the regular regular season Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) match. The meeting on January 13 ended with a score of 4:2.
CSKA got goals from forwards Egor Fateyev and Denis Guryanov, and Maxim Mamin scored a double. The home team opened the scoring in the first minute. Forwards Ansel Galimov and Alexander Belyaev scored for the Red-Whites.
In the third period, Vitaly Abramov injured his left shoulder in a collision with opponent Dmitry Vishnevsky.
After the win, CSKA is second in the Western Conference standings with 59 points, while Spartak is in fourth place with 57 points. In addition, the Army team managed to break a four-game losing streak.
Earlier in the day, Metallurg won its ninth consecutive victory, beating Sochi 4-2 on its home ice. The winners scored goals from Dmitry Silantyev, Artem Minulin and Egor Korobkin. Denis Vengryzhanovsky and Daniil Seroukh scored for Sochi.
